Hotel Accommodations

Hotel Accommodations in Ashford and Mt. Rainier National Park

We will meet in Ashford at the Rainier Basecamp often during the first two days of your climb.  We recommend reserving a room at one of the hotels/lodges listed below for these first two days.  Your third night will be spent at Camp Muir. We will provide you a complimentary room at Paradise Lodge for the fourth night.

When you call to reserve a room, mention that you are with the American Lung Association’s Climb for Clean Air. If you have any questions about hotel accommodations, please feel free to give Carna a call at 206-441-5100 ext. 23 or send her an email at clapping@alaw.org.

Whittaker’s Bunkhouse

Whittaker's Bunkhouse offers a 10% discount off any room. Rooms will be blocked for the ALA Climb until June 1st.  To reserve a room, please call or send an email with your name, dates and ALA Climb status. Please note: you will not be able to receive the discount if you book online through the website. Whittaker’s offers a few large rooms that are a great way to save money and share with other climbers or friends and family. To reserve a room call 360-569-2439 or email reservations@whittakersbunkhouse.com.

Nisqually Lodge

Nisqually Lodge is located just a few minutes away from Rainier Basecamp and is another great place to stay. They are giving us great discounts off their rooms if you book before June 14. To make a reservation, contact Ethel at 360-569-8804.

Paradise Inn

The beautiful Paradise Inn is located 45 minutes past Rainier Basecamp and at the base of Mt. Rainier. Some people choose to stay here the first two nights to acclimate if they are traveling from far away for the climb.  Keep in mind that it is a bit of a drive from the basecamp where we spend a lot of time the first two days. We will provide you one complimentary room at Paradise Inn on the last night of your climb if you choose to stay after the dinner and celebration (ALA books this room for you; please don’t book it yourself or you will be charged). However, if you choose to stay at Paradise for the first two nights of your climb, we recommend booking a room as early as possible, as they fill up very fast.  To reserve a room, call  360-569-2275.
