Event Expenses

Your $3,500 minimum fundraising includes the following:
 *These are subject to change

• A minimum of 9 training hikes with fellow climbers and our amazing volunteers who will help you prepare physically, mentally and having the right gear for the climb
• 4 climb meetings put on by the ALA and our amazing volunteers that go over topics including but not limited to: event logistics, fundraising, nutrition, gear, training, education and support to get you to that summit!
• A 30% discount on any and all gear you need to rent from Whittaker’s Mountaineering
• Helmet, Avalanche Receiver and Harness
• Orientation on Day 1 of your climb in Ashford
• Climb School with RMI’s premier guides on Day 2 of your climb in Ashford
• Day 3 & 4 Summit Climb with RMI’s premier guides
• Dinner (alcohol not included) and celebration at Paradise with Lou Whittaker on Day 4
• One hotel room at Paradise for the fourth night
• Amazing friendships and an experience to last a lifetime!

Out-of-Pocket Expenses
 *These are subject to change

• Purchase or rent all necessary gear needed for the climb and practice hikes which can be found HERE.
• Transportation to and from the following: all training hikes, informational meetings and the actual climb down in Ashford
• Airfare to WA State (if coming from out of town)
• All meals (including on the actual climb) except for the celebration dinner we will provide on the 4th night
• Hotel accommodations for the following: for any of the practice hikes that recommend overnight stay (if you choose to stay overnight), the first two nights of your 4-day climb
• Any additional hotel accommodations or meals for family or friends that will supporting you throughout your 4-day climb
• Mt. Rainier National Park entrance pass ($30/year or $15/vehicle)
• Gratuity for the RMI guides (optional but highly recommended)
• Any additional incidentals (i.e. souvenirs)
