MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
The Climb For Clean Air is a fundraising event, supporting the American Lung Association of Washington. Each climber is required to raise a minimum of $3,500 to qualify for a summit attempt of Mt. Rainier. These funds support vital programs. In 2005, the American Lung Association of Washington:
- sent over 40 children to an Asthma-Friendly Camp, where they were able to learn asthma management skills and have fun doing everything a child does at camp, from crafts to swimming.
- educated over 35,000 youth through Teens Against Tobacco Use (TATU) program. TATU teens teach other teens and kids about the effects of smoking and how to stay smoke-free and live healthy lives.
In 2006, the Climb For Clean Air raised over $250,000 for the work of the American Lung Association® of Washington. You can make a difference!
