Fundraising Letter #7
My family doctor threatened to take my toys away if I don't do something about my blood pressure. So I've taken up bicycle riding. And so to further my health pursuits I'll be riding in the 2001 Trek Tri-Island as a fundraiser for the American Lung Association® of the Northwest.
In addition, I'd like to honor my Dad, Edward H. A.. by participating in this three-day, 135-mile bicycle ride. As you know, Dad died from lung cancer.
Our fundraising bicycle journey will be the weekend of September 8 - 10. The route begins in Seattle and will take us through Port Townsend, the San Juan Islands and Victoria, B.C.
Would you be willing to make a contribution to my trek? My fundraising goal is $500.
If you would like to make flat contribution of ten dollars or more, I would be most grateful. Or perhaps you'd like to contribute something per mile. Anything you'd like to donate will help.
Please make your check payable to the American Lung Association® of the Northwest. Your donation is tax deductible. A receipt is enclosed which includes a statement explaining how your donation will be used by the American Lung Association® of the Northwest.
Would you like to know more about the trek? Visit the American Lung Association® of the Northwest's website at www.CleanAirAdventures.org and get the full skinny on our upcoming journey.
Thank you for your support.
