Ride Description

Trek Tri-Island will take place on a different San Juan Island each day. Saturday and Sunday nights will be spent at Friday Harbor High School in Friday Harbor.

Bike Rentals & Shipping

If traveling from out of state, you have the option of renting a bike from the local bike shop listed below or you can make arrangements to have your personal bicycle shipped ahead and ready for you upon arrival. 

If you choose to ship your bike, please make sure your name is visible on the packaging and that it arrives at least four days prior to your pick up date of Friday, September 10th.

Skagit Cycle Center offers great bikes for weekend rental that are ideal for your Trek adventure.  Reserve a bike by August to ensure availability.  Personal bikes can also be shipped to Skagit Cycle Center and assembled for a $50 charge.

Speedy Reedy offers shipping, assembly and tune-up services for Trek participants.  Cost is $40 for assembly out of the box and $40 for a tune-up.  Following your Trek adventure, drop your bike off at Speedy Reedy and have it shipped back home.  All arrangements must be made with Saul in advance of shipment.   

Friday, September 10, Anacortes Middle School 

Kick-Off Night!  Starting at 6:30 p.m., Trek riders can show up at Anacortes Middle School to check-in and have dinner.  Tents can be set up in the field or sleep in the gym.  Dinner and the welcome celebration start in the cafeteria at 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 11, Orcas Island

We will leave from Anacortes Middle School early morning after breakfast.  All Trek riders must be registered and have their gear on the Gear Truck.  We will ride to the Anacortes Ferry and sail to Orcas.  Gear will be dropped off at our camping site at Friday Harbor High School in Friday Harbor.  Trekkers can choose between two routes based on their riding level.  We will spend the day riding beautiful Orcas Island and then head to San Juan Island for dinner and camping.

Friday Harbor High School is just a few blocks from the ferry terminal in Friday Harbor. At night you can easily walk to the local shops and pubs in Friday Harbor.

Sunday, September 12, Lopez Island

After breakfast we will board the ferry to Lopez Island.  Trekkers can choose between two routes based on their riding level.  We will return to San Juan Island at the end of the day for another overnight stay at Friday Harbor High School.  Note:  Gear Truck will load Trekkers gear and go to Anacortes Middle School on Sunday afternoon for bike riders choosing to return home Sunday night.

Monday, September 13, San Juan Island

All gear for people heading back to Anacortes Monday afternoon will be loaded on to Gear Truck before leaving the campground.  After breakfast we will begin our ride on majestic San Juan Island.  At the end of the day we will have a BBQ in Friday Harbor to celebrate our amazing weekend.  More details coming soon.

After the BBQ, you have the option of returning to Anacortes via ferry and head home or vacation on the island for a few more days.  Either way, you will already be anticipating Trek Tri-Island 2011!
